This project was my last project as an undergraduate student, and a great way to wrap everything up. The challenge was to develop a brand identity for a distillery. I chose to do Whistle Punk and to make it very much distressed and against the norm, so that I could do work that is unexpected and interesting.
My process began with a list of all the things that come to mind when I think of whistles and punk. I came up with this icon that serves both as imagery of a person whistling and as a combination of two iconic punk symbols.
This project covers much of what I learned as an undergrad: web design, package design, and identity design. I additionally took the initiative to develop a complete style guide and to teach myself the basics of After Effects to create the animated version of the logo as seen above.
